Globetrotters

Sahara was able to get some discounted tickets.  We stopped at Red Lobster for lunch.

Then headed to see the Globetrotters.

Afterwards there was a signing session.

Sahara bought Canyon a hat and Spider signed it.

Unexpected Snow Fall

On our way to Little Rock, I snapped a picture.  Most likely it will be gone when we get home.

Paranormal Activity at the Hull House

So this was kind of trippy. The other night Canyon and I were over at Sahara and Jared for dinner. We're all sitting in the living room. Sahara and I laying on the couch, Canyon in the chair, and Jared in the recliner. All of a sudden it felt like something bumped and shook the coffee table. Sahara and I both assumed that Ranger had laid down too close to it and made that happen. But Ranger was not in the room. Then it happened again. This time I know Sahara saw it for sure. We're explaining what happened to Jared and it happened a third time. This time he saw it. No one touched anywhere near the coffee table. There were several things on the coffee table including three bottles of water and they were all shaking and jiggling around. The floor is cement and we tried even stepping around and pushing around the throw rug to see if that could make the same movement with the table. It didn't. Sahara says that she's witnessed other things that seems like they have a ghost hound that lives there. It was just really crazy because it was the first time I actually witnessed with my own eyes something happening and not just hearing something in another room to see when I'd go to that room that something has been disturbed. Also I'm so excited that Jared saw it with his own eyes. Because he's heard all of our stories and doesn't really believe some of the things we tell him that's happened. But he can't deny this one.

Feelin' Fancy

Well it's a good thing I went back to work.  I kept finding great deals and have been really tempted to buy things with all the after Christmas sales, but I did cave for decent front porch furniture.

First I found this wicker love seat and end tables at a bargain store.  Nothing wrong with them, the cushions and pillows were even still in plastic wrap.  The original price tags still on the tables $60.  I paid $10.

The next day a lady was selling these heavy duty wicker chairs at a yard sale.  They are a slightly darker brown than the love seat, but you really can't tell. I told her I'd have to take trips getting them home in my car so she said she'd load them up and deliver them!

There are 4.  Canyon is sitting in the 4th.

We've only had 2 great weather days since getting them, but sometimes I wrap in a throw blanket with my coffee.

New Year's Eve at the Poppy Patch

I had a talk with Hippie about a new dog that was coming to visit.

Turns out it wasn't Hippie I needed to talk to.

Jared and his dad playing a basketball pong game.

5 hours later, Jupiter and Malachi (big Malachi) were best buds.  But Jupiter is not good with new dogs and had to spend a lot of time in his kennel until we got to this point. 

We made screwdrivers and mixed berry cape cods.

At midnight we lit up some of the left over wedding sparklers.

And how was it possible that at 1 in the morning we were able to get all 5 of these heathens to sit and be good for a picture?!  It was way past their bedtimes and they were too tired to misbehave.
