Spring Break Part 2

Hot Springing it today.
These photos got all out of order, but it doesn't really matter.

Here we are at the Wax Museum.  Sahara really wanted to go, then kind of regretted it because it was not worth the entry fee.  It was ok, but kind of short.

Canyon is in Fairy Tale Land.

There were mostly famous people of years past.

Obama, haha, he looks white in this shot.

We had lunch at BubbaLu's Bodacious Burgers.

We also went to the Mid-America Science Museum.  Haven't been there in many years. Just about everything there was new except the mine.  So it was a pretty good trip.  And even though semi-crowded, we got to see everything we wanted and if we had to wait for something, we were the next in line.

Here is a teeeeeny turtle that I found at the gift shop.

Sahara and Canyon balance the ball on wind.

Tornado machine.

Dino-dig

Tree house.  This was scary!

This net was suspended about 3 stories high.  Triple netted.  That's good!

Canyon climbing the gyroid.

Need a little electric shock therapy?  Sahara barely turned it on and YOWZA!!!  Just before my turn it was Canyon's and I hit it hard not knowing.  Hardly even phased him!

The negative screen.  Crazy how Sahara's hair got dark and Canyon's hair got light when they both have pretty much the same color to start.  And my hair got darker when my hair is darker then theirs to begin with.

Terra forming.  WOW!  This sand box was awesome.  The lights above made the land and water different colors like the elevation maps.

I was wearing a dress and someone has to hold the stuff so.......Sahara, you get to go in with Canyon.
Photos inside- I was told some areas were pitch black in there.

This water feature was in the entry.  You have to shoot ball pit balls into certain areas for them to travel through the system.  It was on the ground floor but you could play from the second floor too.

Looking at the world through a rose colored glass.

We also hit the mall and all ended up with new shoes.  Back home and had a salad for dinner at 8:30.  A fun full day :)

Saturday, Jared and Sahara went to Tara's funeral.  It was supposed to be a warmer day then yesterday and we had planned to go to Wye Hill Daffodil Farm, but it is very cold and raining, so...maybe tomorrow.

Better day on Sunday.  We did Spring pictures at Wye today :)

Spring Break Part 1

Not a great start to Spring Break because Monday we had 4 errands to get done and none of them were successful.
Then on Tuesday we went to Little Rock for a zoo / shopping trip. Well, it took an hour longer than usual due to major construction delays. When we got there, the parking at the zoo was insane. Then we saw the line of people to get in...down the street! It would have been at least another hour wait in line and this was almost 2 hours after it opened.  Not people waiting for the gates to open for the day. Figuring that we wouldn't even get to see animals with that crowd, we hit the mall. Sahara found this 'mary jane' bikini. No she didn't buy it!! Haha. Canyon got LOADED with 'cruise wear'. We ate at David's Burgers which was AWESOME! Hit some more shopping and Cicis Pizza for dinner.

Wednesday Sahara went with Jared and his family to Branson. Unfortunately the weather there was terrible. Yes they were there through the tornados.

These were the only photos of their trip that they shared with me.  That is Jared with his sis in law Kaycee.

Meanwhile...
Canyon and mom got some of those errands done.

Canyon got a haircut and his State ID that he will need for the cruise. He was so excited!  The weather at home was beautiful. We ate lunch at the park and mowed. Yes! The mower started right up this year.
Here are some of the first blooms in the yard.
Down town Russellville had damage from wind, microburst, or a possible small tornado.  But most all of the damage happened on Parkway.
Tragic news this morning.  Last night a girl Jared graduated with and her boyfriend were on a motorcycle and were hit by a truck.  She did not make it and her boyfriend was med-flighted and is in critical condition.  Basically broke every bone in his body.  The passenger in the truck (who was not harmed) is also a friend of Jared's from baseball.  They haven't released any info on the driver of the truck.  Apparently he is under 18 so his identity is being kept. It was discovered that the girl was also pregnant.
:(

Then the weather hit.  At 11:30pm we lost power.  It was a still, dark, and quiet night.  I heard every scratch Jamocha made in her kennel.  I also heard the house creek from the wind and the hail hitting the window.  We got power back around 6 am.

Planet Fitness is closed until further notice.  It lost it's roof (which is flat so???)

And the real estate office across the street lost the whole front wall on the 2nd story.

More damage was a theater and sound store, a pizza place, bicycle shop, and the Chili's that is being built.

Damage in person (Canyon took these as we drove by).  They seem to be working fast to fix.  Or maybe just making it safe and usable.  As you can see in the night photo, the entire wall was down.

**(: Booked the flights for the cruise today :)**

In the paper

I had to ask someone for a copy. We were in the paper Sunday.

Allergic Reaction

This morning, at dark thirty, I let Jamocha out of her kennel to pee and eat. 30 minutes we let her back in to find her in this condition.
What happened? No sign of bite marks or stings. She has hives. It's her first Spring...maybe allergic to a weed or grass or chemical someone put on their lawn.
Back in the kennel she went. On the way home from work I picked up Benadryl and went home. She looked much better but She will be on meds till she's more normal looking.

No one is happy today

This boy refused to even sit in the chair at the dentist today. I left work early, picked him up, and took him to the dentist (50 minute trip) and he shut down.
He has a baby molar that will not budge and an adult tooth coming in next to it trying to find room. They said if the baby doesn't finally fall out on it's own in the next 6 months, were looking at oral surgery :( I told him he couldn't swing today since he didn't cooperate.

Polar Plunge

We didn't miss the plunge this year, last year we missed because it was rescheduled due to lightning but we never got the memo.
First the athletes say the oath.
Canyon liked the frog team the best. They were staff from his doctor's office.
The cowboys tossed out chocolate coins.
Fist full of coins.
The Blues Brothers were entertaining.
They line up for the plunge.
They're in and they're out!
Canyon said he wants to plunge next year. If so, we will have to get a team together. Don't look at me.....toooo cold!!
