Fun On The Farm

Liam went to a farm and got to try riding.  He loved it!  He also got up close and personal to chicks, pigs, goats, and a cow.

Baseball Picture Day

Recovered!

Malaki got his stitches, staples, and tubes removed and is doing and has healed great!

Mother's Day Weekend

It finally stopped raining after 4 or 5 days of it.  It was a beautiful weekend.  Sahara, Jared, and Liam came down on Friday so Canyon and I took off for a 3 day weekend with them.  Malaki went to the vet and seems to be recovering fantastically 1 week after the incident. We went to the lake and Jared installed a new Ring doorbell for me.

Canyon had his 1st baseball game in 2 years.  There was a record number of signups this year.  I think 71 players on 6 teams.

We grabbed a team photo as it's so hard to do it later in the season because it gets so hot and the players are too hot and done after the games.

Canyon's friend Logan is on his team so they had to get a buddy picture.

We had lunch at Mulan's and a BBQ at Jared's Nanny's house.

Mom's Day we went to Starbucks and had brunch at the park.

Poor Malaki!

This little 5 pound doggo decided to go visit 3 strange German shepherds next door when they all were doing family photos at the photographer's house. 1 of them was not a friendly 😖.  The owner of the dogs and Jared ran over and Malaki, at first, didn't seem that bad. Jared held him but then pulled him away from his shirt and it was all bloody.
Off to the closest vet open (Sunday evening) they went.

Malaki was shaved down and the damage was tragic.

He had to stay at the vet that night and have blood work done the next day to see if he could handle anesthesia and didn't have thyroid problems that would cause issues with healing.  The next afternoon he finally went into surgery and had drain tubes placed.

24 hours after that he was released and Sahara and Jared could take him back home.

He will have to return in 2 weeks to have staples, stitches and tubes removed.  He has several meds that he has to take 10 times a day.

The owners of the German Shepherds did not want to admit to any wrong doing since Malaki had wondered into their yard, but thankfully they did eventually pay for some of the bill directly to the vet.

Sahara says he is eating and acting fine at home.

Spring Things

I went to Lowe's and bought 18 little ground cover plants.

Hopefully they will spred and take over the plain mud areas in the back flower beds.

And got a couple new things for out front.

Then I replanted 7 house plants.

It's a lot of work and expensive. I hope the spider plant gets over it's shock and poofs back up.  The 7th was a cactus that didn't get in the picture.
