The Rest Of Spring Break

World Down Syndrome Day happened and we made sure to wear our crazy socks.

Chloe Cat had her 15th birthday!

The sump pump from hell finally got installed but it is basically rigged.  Need to do more work to it but hopefully it will do what it is supposed to until I get around to it.

Did some weeding.  The flower beds are growing like crazy with ground cover.

Found some bulbs on clearance.

We went to Munchin on Main St in Morrilton.  Yummy food trucks, music, arts and crafts, and free carnival rides.

Crazy door and steps tucked in a nook down town.

Awww. Sad little arcade is no more.

Cake pops for dessert.

I think this was the first time ever Canyon has been on a ride by himself.  Sahara said no way to the ride but if Jared or I went on it with him we would be over weight. :[  So he went by himself.  He loved it.

He also did a teacup type ride...

...and tried the rock wall.  He didn't get much higher than this.

82 today!

After some shopping and dinner, we came home to Jupiter carrying around Malaki's bowl.  It was 8 o'clock and way past dinner time he says!

St. Patty's Day in Hot Springs

Kind of a last minute decision, but we decided to head to Hot Springs for St. Patrick's Day.  It's a huge ordeal there.  They have the famous World's Shortest Parade.

First stop was Oaklawn for the Rebel Stakes horse races.  We were lucky to find parking!

They were claiming this might have been the most populated crowd ever.  Turns out it was with over 37,500 people at Oaklawn.

We saw a local celebrity,  Meteorologist Ned Perme.  Oops!  He might have caught me taking his photo. :)

Jared made a couple bets but $2 bets don't pay much back.  His horses did place though.

Shortly after taking Ned's picture, right in front of us, a poor lady had a seizure.  Medics got there within seconds and eventually EMS came.

There was also a very drunk girl who was quite entertaining between races.

We did some shopping along the strip.

We had lunner at Granny's Kitchen (probably wont return there because it took forever to be served).  Also, we had ice cream at Kilwins.  The line was out the door.  But the ice cream was delish!

The fountains were turned green.

The parade was not going to be until 7:30 and that was too long to wait since we had been there since 10 am.  But we did get a glimpse of a couple Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders.

And lots of crazy cars and motorcycles (and people) were cruising by.  Sahara said she could see Nana and Papa in this one.

It was a great time.
We plan to do it again next year!

Ring Security

Canyon officially became a part of the wedding party.

We will definitely have to figure out a secure way for him to keep the rings secure!

Weekend Parties

I guess Spring is the time for all these parties.

Sahara and Jared were busy with a wedding shower for Johnathan and Lisa.

Then a quick change to head over to Jordan and Mary's wedding.

Jared was his best man.

It was outside at an old barn.  The reception was held in the barn.  Good thing too.  It started raining and hailing an 45 minutes after the ceremony.

The next day it was baby shower time for our sweet friend Melanie.

She looks like a model even 8 months pregnant!
