Creek Dayz- Blue Hole

Found a new creek for this week.  Blue Hole.  It's a bit of a drive, but so pretty.

Canyon was the first one in.

Of course you can't take me anywhere.  10 minutes there and I stepped on shale rock that shattered and cut my ankle.

Dory to the rescue!

It was very lazy and cloudy and the water was cool, but only Canyon had sunscreen on and Sahara and I ended up getting fried.

We wish this was our backyard.

Creek Dayz - Snow Creek

It's hot hot hot and veeeery humid.
Ranger enjoys the water. A lot.
Malaki, not so much. Plus it was 6 inches to 4 feet deep so he had to swim a lot. Or get a picky.
Canyon loved it.
Both of the dogs were worn out.
We are going to find more swimming holes this summer.

Oral surgery

Wow! This one was a hard one. I couldn't give Canyon any heads up of what was going to happen to him. We got to the oral surgeon's office and he had no idea what he was in for.
Heading back to the exam room now, and he probably gets the idea that it's going to be a checkup.
It took about 30 to 40 minutes for his surgery. He did not wake up well from it. He ripped the IV out of his arm.  He refused to get out of the chair, refused to get in a wheelchair, had to almost be carried out. He was not a happy camper. Sahara had to actually pick him up out of the wheelchair and put him in the truck to go home.
We went to Walmart for his prescriptions, but Walmart didn't carry his pain medicine. So then we went to Walgreens. I dropped off the prescriptions and then we went home. Later I went back to Walgreens and was told that his pain medicine would be over $200! Are you kidding me?!?! So l went home and decided he'll just use ibuprofen. After a yogurt, 2 puddings, applesauce, and his medicine, he didn't want anymore gauze in his mouth. He took a nap. Then he was good as can be laughing, smiling, and went outside to swing.
Somehow we only ended up with 11 of his teeth. Maybe one got misplaced or lost, or maybe it just crumbled when they pulled it out. Looks like the tooth fairy's going to come tonight!!
Here's the result. We're happy to see that he had some adult teeth underneath his baby teeth. His baby teeth were just capping them. But he doesn't have any teeth on the top. It's all just gums for now. I've been told he's going to have to see the orthodontist to have his upper teeth pulled down. I guess we'll find out more about that later. No picture of the uppers. Just imagine nothing after the canines.

Last baseball game

It was a scorcher today! Canyon gets his trophy.
Briar and Canyon trying to cool down a bit in the shade.
Heading home. Love baseball season, but it's just too hot in June.
Season picture. No team pictures because the heat was too much. Oh well.

Little Red

Light auburn for the summer :)

Gender Reveal

Sahara was the secret keeper for the gender of her friend's baby.
They got the ultrasound done but had to hide their eyes when the gender was discovered. Sahara was the only one who got to see it. Then the envelope was given to her.
They created a box and came late to the park after it was set up.
It's a girl!
They are both very excited and plan on calling her Adeline Grace.
Sahara was the secret keeper for a whole 1 1/2 hours. She barely made it without blurting it out!

Mamoth Spring Trip

The kids had their float trip with dad.  This is the first year Sahara actually drove there herself...well, with Canyon as a co-pilot.  Arkansas - Missouri border by Jonesboro.

They made it!

Unfortunately, rain was the forecast for the whole time there.
(their little tent in the background)

They had to end up sleeping in someone else's tent because theirs was soaked.  Also, they only floated for a few hours between downpours, but they had a fun time.
(photo bombed by Rita's dad)

Sahara wiped out trying to get out of the second float.  She went under, her tube went under, and another girl, Darci, grabbed her and yanked her out of the current and undertow. She ended up with battle wounds.

Crazy June weather!
