success........sort of

I managed to figure the VCR to get LOST to tape, but I set it for 2 hours (because it was a 2 hour show) and only got the 1st hour taped because the first hour on the tape was Jimmy Kimmel (sp). I guess the game went into overtime. But I watched the rest online (thanks Mel for that info).
