Area 17 Games

It's Special Olympics day!  It was supposed to be raining but luckily it was clear, but chilly and windy.

Coach was a no show due to a knee issue but we found our group eventually.  I have no idea why Canyon wasn't given a matching shirt. It's not surprising though.

We waited 4 1/2 hours for his 1st event and almost missed it due to he being put on the wrong list.  It's always something.  Very unorganized.

He also did the soft ball toss as no one local has a shot put for him to practice with.  The others he was listed with were all 6 feet tall so he was at a disadvantage and got 4th place.

He got 1st for the standing long jump!

It was a long day and we got pizza on the way home but at least he got to do it this year.  Hopefully we will hear in a day or 2 about if State is a go or not.

Easter Shenanigans

Our Easter all happened on Saturday which was a much nicer outdoorsy day anyway.

On our way to Jared's Nanny's house for lunch and a hunt.

Jared's older brother and sister-in-law are building on the property and also starting a micro petting zoo.

Miniature donkeys and cows and the pygmy goats arrive next week.

Some of the hidden eggs were confetti eggs.

Back at the house, while we were gone, the Bunny had made a visit!

These boys are not spoiled at all I'd say.

I love how he was soooo close to popping it back in his mouth but waited until I said yes.

Happy 🐣 Easter!

Spring Break

We started out the week at home doing nothing really special.
I watched the 1st season of The End of Us and got some decor for the house that I plan to get set up soon.
We had World Down Syndrome Day and planned to go to the grand opening of the new Sonic.  For a town that gets NOTHING, this is big!  However, the food delivery truck did not arrive so we went to Freddy's instead.

The next day Sonic was able to open so we went.  The food and service were great.  We were the 1st to sit on the outside picnic tables.

The 2nd half of the week we headed to Centerton to grandsit the nugget while Sahara and Jared went to Las Vegas for a surprise meet up with friends that were there for a birthday get away.

We went to The Blue Zoo. A new aquarium in Rogers.

We tried new foods and asked for more.

We had a picnic at the park.

In Vagas, Sahara, Jared, Mecca, and Zach
went to an ice bar...

Drove fast cars... played Top Golf...

Had lots of drinks...

and hung at the pool.
