Sahara's New Office

Unfortunately, Sahara did not have a key yet and even if she did, the building had not been signed off by the builders for anyone other than movers to be in it.  So I didn't get to go in but there is her window.

Electrical Work

Jared's Uncle is an electrician so I had him come do some work.  I never really liked some of the fixtures that came in the house and a couple were problematic so now they are replaced.

In the kitchen, I went from the florescent bulb fixture to the LED.

In the hall between my bath and bedroom, this fixture was not working properly so it was also replaced with and LED.

The old kitchen fixture went in the garage where the shop light ballast had failed.

And the light over the dining table was replaced to match the pendant lights over the counter. 

 Also, I had 2 porch outlets that had gone bad and they are connected to the guest room outlets so they were replaced and so was the breaker in the panel that they were connected to.  Hopefully now I wont lose power to the guest room every time I plug in the dog clippers or Christmas lights outside.

Refresh the School Look

Since we will have a new classroom next year, I brought our old chairs home to reupholster.  These are just chairs the kids use to look at books in or whatever in free time.  

I only managed to loose 1 finger print but I think they came out good.  If they last another 3 years, it was worth it.

I took them back to our new classroom and also made curtains to match.

Float Trip

Canyon went on his annual float and camping trip with his dad.  We didn't get many pictures back but he had a good time.

Packing Up for Summertime

So my school decided that 33 teachers needed to be shuffled around for next year.  Our classroom was one of them. 

After 15 years in this room, it's time to head down the hall.

Bummed I wont get the window in the next room, but the window in that room only faces a bay of air conditioners anyway. 🤷

 4 years ago Canyon started off the summer with a broken leg.  This time he will be starting it off with pityriasis rosea.  It's just a random viral rash related to chicken pox and shingles that will take weeks to months to go away.  Someone who gets it is most likely not to get it a second time. It's only been 10 days so far but has gotten worse each day.

The photos I think make it appear more toned down than in person.  I'm sure he will look great in bathing trunks this summer.

7 Months

Liam has his 1st and almost 2nd tooth.  He really loves outside time too.

Our little model babe just landed his first magazine ad for small shop clothing boutiques.

Easter Weekend

We sure packed a lot into a short weekend.  The weather was perfect this year though so that was good.

Liam came and fell asleep sitting up on my lap so he was really pooped after all day at daycare.

We did most of our Easter on Saturday.

Liam colored an egg using the whip cream in a ziplock method.

They were brown eggs so the colors turned out more natural looking.

We did an egg hunt at the house and at Nanny's house.

We had lots of whip cream left so Liam got to play and taste.

Sahara got them confetti eggs to bust too.

At home, Liam got a new outdoor swing.  He loves it!
