1 Issue fixed

When moving in, the home inspector told me that not only were the gutters not functioning due to all the leaves in them, but they may rip off the roof if they don't get addressed.  When raining, they would completely fill with water and could and will freeze with all that water in them.  In November, the temps weren't to freezing yet, but Jared and I spent 2 hours digging out nasty 'mulch' out of them so that they would work properly.  Of course 2 days later there was a big wind storm and all the leaves were back again.

You can see them here.

So I had a gutter man come out to see what we could do.  Not only were the leaves a problem, but the gutters themselves were not hung flush to the fascia.

 See the gap.

This causes sagging especially when filled with water and even worse, ice.

So the gutters had to be taken down and 1x2's put up and the gutters reinstalled.

Now there isn't a gap.  The arrow shows where the 1x2 is added.

Here are the leaf guards on top.

It took one guy almost 2 days to do and then another guy came back a 3rd day for a few hours to finish up.
It cost an arm and a leg, but luckily I was given 2 of each!

Be My Valentine

Sahara made the dogs shirts.  They are really tight. They all need to go up a size.

We exchanged gifts.

Ok, we make every holiday a big deal.

Shine On

2nd year for Night to Shine.

Wore his wedding attire this year with a Razorback tie Sahara and Jared got him for Christmas.

After the limo ride he walks the red carpet.

He was partnered with Camille.

Limo ride, photo booth, buffet, and dancing, dancing, dancing.

Oh, and Canyon's friend Logan snuck a kiss on Sahara when she asked to do a selfie with him. :)

So Long Sweet Retreat

These were some of the last photos I took of the Sweet Retreat just before moving out.  They were used for the 'lived in' look for advertising the sale of the house.  Luckily, the house got a full price offer in 2 days of listing.  I guess I priced it right keeping in mind the work that needed to be done there.

Still have my sign in my new master "sweet retreat" bathroom.

  The kids 'growing up' home.
As many as 8 pets and other animals buried there.

It was a love / hate relationship for 18 1/2 years.

Good bye Sweet Retreat - closed on 2-8-19

Special Olympics Polar Plunge

Nope!  Not going in that freezing water!

We watched and they raised over $13,000 this year for our athletes.
