What storm?

I don't know how we missed it, but there was a big wind storm that blew through Russellville and Pottsville.

We were driving back from Lake Dardanelle on the other side of Russellville to the house and when we got to the neighborhood people were out surveying the damage.  Lots of shingles missing on different houses.  Trash all over the place. From my porch you can see a tree on top of a neighbors house...
...and another one that snapped.

Around the block, this big tree fell over and took out the neighbors house.  They just moved in and had spent only 1 night there so far!

Another big tree fell over a few houses down when other people had just moved in a couple months ago.  Damage was to the fence and shed, not the house.

I just don't know how we could have driven through this wind storm and missed it at the same time.

Summer Crafting - Girls Night

Sahara, Kallie, and I bought cheap denim to paint.

The girls did pockets on pants and I did a shirt.

Then Sahara and I made car coasters.

Fayetteville Pride

This was so much fun!!!

I didn't get very many pictures because this time we were in the parade!

This is our group and 'float".  It is inVocation Counseling which is one of the psychologists Sahara works with and his company.

We handed out beads with his service info and the suicide hotline number.

There were 20,000 people at this parade.  It was massive compared to the Conway one we have done a couple of times.

We're already making plans for next year and will probably do the whole weekend.

We were float #80 and at the end, turned around and there was another mile of people behind us.  We thought we were near last.

2 Trips to Children's

It hasn't been a great week for Canyon.  Sunday evening we headed to Children's for another sleep study.

This time, on top of all the wires and monitors, he had to wear his c-pap.  He was not a happy boy and removed several wires and his c-pap many many times during the night.

It's thumbs up here but that didn't last long.

We go back in 2 week for the results.

2 days after that trauma, we headed back to Children's for outpatient surgery for the rods for canine teeth implants.

He does not do well coming out of anesthesia and yet again, ripped his IV out of his arm even though they were warned that he would do it.  He also refused to get up or transfer to a wheelchair to leave and we had to get someone that could lift him.

Sahara hugs made it a little better that evening.

He is finished with all his meds but touches his upper cheek bones often but will not say whether it hurts or not.  No more tooth work until they check him again the day before his b-day.

Pride

This is our 3rd year at the Pride Parade and Sahara made shirts.

Canyon gave high 5's to all walking by.

It was soooo hot and humid.  Next year I think we will bring our own lunch.  Too expensive.

Baseball Season Over

Seemed like it just started and then it was done.
