Spooky Month

Got the outside set up for Halloween. Pretty much all pumpkins and black cats this year.

Liam's Baseball game was a lot for someone 3.  He is the smallest and youngest out there.  He cries every time he doesn't get the ball and likes to run to other fields often.  At least there were 4 of us to chase him down.  Even though there was a lot of drama (he wasn't the only one) he did have fun.

Canyon had his birthday a few days early since we were all together.  He went on a shopping spree.

Out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse.

And had Nothing Bundt Cakes for dessert.

Happy quarter century Canyon #25!

Canyon and mom went to a pumpkin painting party.

We also saw the partial eclipse.

Without anything but the phone camera because it was pretty overcast...

and with the glasses film in front of the camera. Canyon was not super impressed.  I'm going to do better for the next one by remembering to look at the leaves shadows and use a strainer to see all the crescents.

For their 5th wedding anniversary, Sahara and Jared went to Kansas City.

They stayed in a cute little air b&b.

They saw racing at the speedway

Went to the Outlet Mall and Mini Golfing.

Canyon and I stayed with Liam. We watched scary movies. Went to the monster store (AKA Spirit Halloween) this is his favorite.  This boy is all about scary and Halloween.

Painted his "pumpkins.... and his carrots" as he called his fingernails and toes.

He devoured a McDouble.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to stay for his game Sunday evening, but he got the Sportsmanship Award this week.

This was too cute!

Canyon went to River Valley Abilities and had a good time with his friend Heath again. They did yoga,

a craft, ping-pong,

and played a card game.

Looks like Liam was a big help with the pumpkin this year.

Canyon helped a lot with his pumpkin but his was very stringy and thin so it was difficult.

Kiddos were out trick or treating at 5 on the dot. We had a quick dinner, set out the bowl of candy and headed out too. It was cold!

After 2 blocks, we had hit 20-25 houses in about an hour.  This was Canyon's last house. Back at home the 6 bags of candy I set out were gone. I put the last 2 bags in the bowl and started counting kids on the Ring.  It was about the same as last year. 150 total!

"I got a rock." Yes, someone gave Canyon a rock! 😄 It will live in my cactus pot. I turned out the light at 7:30.

Liam had fun in their even more cold weather.  Luckily he was dressed warmer.
