Taking care of 4 dogs for 4 months is A LOT!

Especially this little turd!

It wasn't enough that he would pee in the house at least 1 time a day. He had to spend the days in the kennel because of that.  Then he started peeing and pooping in the kennel.
It didn't matter that I'd give him 5 or 6 bathroom breaks every 12 hours.  He'd also escape the backyard to the neighbors or the cow field to the side of us if left outside unattended for more that a few minutes.

THEN, after being put on a runner in the backyard to keep him from escaping, he decided to go under the fence anyway.

These are all briar bushes and vines.  Tons of stickers and thorns. I got from the gate and cut through 40 feet of them but they got thicker and thicker and I couldn't go further.

So from the yard side I started removing pickets to find him.

Luckily he was in reach of the fence but wrapped so tight around this vine he couldn't move at all.

So, I reattached the pickets and filled in the holes and 3 days later he did it again. This time I was able to get him and a foot of the runner back through the hole to save his butt but will have to remove another picket or 2 to get the runner back again.  Now he has no leash again.
Why is he so much work!

Vegas Baby

Sahara and her friend Mecca met up with 2 other friends, Kaliana and Tara, for a girls weekend in Vegas. They had the royal treatment with limo service and the works!

Listen to how lucky these girls were!!

Limo service to and from the airport.  Room comped. $400 given to each for spending money. $2000 won at slots on someone elses dime given to them for other expenses. All charges at casino (bar, night club, meals, entertainment, etc.) charged to room and paid for. Why, because Mecca is friends with a high roller there and the whole trip was on them.

Sahara was amazed how the casinos there were like cruise ships.  Everything you could want under one roof and if you wanted to venture to another casino, there were underground tunnels to take you there.

It was a really fast weekend and they had a blast.

Halloween Happenings

Two weeks ago we picked and painted pumpkins.

Halloween night I put out a bowl of candy and Canyon and I headed to the fire stations.

Mickey and Minnie this year.

The second fire station had a truck or treat.

Then we went to our hood and walked 2 blocks. Lots of people participating on our street and our ring cam showed 147 treaters came to our bowl.  I refilled it twice and brought the couple handful of leftovers for my class Tuesday. Canyon ended up with about 100 pieces of chocolate which is way more than we need and all we will eat anyway.

Up in Bentonville, Liam was Baby Shark and had a couple of victims. Sahara said it was a great night there too and Liam had a blast this year.

Canyon's B-Day #24 - UPDATED

We headed out a whole mile down the road to go to the Middleton Family Pumpkin Patch.  Some of Jared's family went too.

Liam loved pretty much everything about the place and really seems to love being a farm boy when he gets a chance.

They have big culvert pipe slides.

The corn maze was in better shape this year.  Really tall and lots of corn still growing on them.  We only took 1 wrong turn and Canyon got way ahead of us.

The duckies with the water trough pumps are a lot of fun.

There were tons of other things I didn't get pictures of like the hay ride, sling shot, swingy thingy, hamster wheels, basketball toss, tractor pit, little kids barn...

Then we got pizza and went home for a couple hours.  Next we went to Jared's family's house for dinner, cheese cake, and gifts.

They took some spins on the go-cart.

Then we headed to Walmart so Canyon could do a 'fill the basket' shopping spree.  I think this will be a yearly thing.  He liked to pick his own things but did have to be directed a bit.  At least he isn't the type that would put 6 $85 playstation games in the basket or a Nintendo switch!

He scanned everything and we had to get help because he hesitated and the shirt scanned 3 times.

His basket haul was 1 Razorback t-shirt, 1 Razorback mug, 1 8 pack of hot wheels, 1 single hot wheel, 1 coke, 1 dr. pepper, 2 bags of chips, and 3 king size candy bars.

It was a pretty good day-long birthday.  He is bringing 2 bags of candy to Hampton to share out on Monday for his actual b-day.

A few late cards and gifts but just as much appreciated!
