Kallie Visits

 Sahara's good friend Kallie came to visit and meet Liam for the 1st time.

Summer Paint Projects

 I redid the kitchen table again to go better with other things I have.  I was hoping more color would come through in the distressed areas but only the blue and a bit of yellow did.  The new place mats help bring in color though.  Also, with the new dimmer dining area light, the white helps brighten up the space.

I painted a little rocker for Liam.

Also a coulpe wooden file cabinet which I already too to work instead of using open shelving.  I like that a bunch of junk will be able to be hidden in them now and not out of everyone to see.

Only 2 injuries to report with these projects 🙃

9 Days in NWA

 Since we didn't have a vacation planned Canyon and I went to Sahara's house for 9 days.  Jared is at summer drill for 3 weeks.  Stupidly, the National Guard decided to transport everyone to 1 location and then test them for covid after they were all crammed on buses together.  Turned out 37 of the 2200 were positive.  Some put in quarantine.  So, dumb.

When we first got there, Liam was sick.  After 2 rounds of antibiotics, he was still having fever for no reason.  So they put him on a steroid instead.  He was much better the day after starting the steroid.

Here he fell asleep on my cheek and so hot.

Canyon shared his firetruck parades.

We went geocaching and found 1 of the 4 we looked for.

2 sets of mamas and babies were on the side of the road.

Then we went to the Crystal Bridges walking trails. Should have brought a picnic but didn't think about it ahead of time.

Sahara's work had their grand opening and ribbon cutting.  We were on the news.

We ate out a lot. After all, it was our vacation. 😁

We checked out Rogers' new downtown splash pad park.  It was really nice.

July 4th Weekend

Sahara, Jared, and Liam came down for the weekend.  We went to get some food at Cracker Barrel.

Jared got some simple fireworks and sparklers for at the house.

The next day we went to the park but it didn't have swings so we went on the trails.

We actually have never taken this way before and found cliffs and caves.

The Bentonville crew had to head back home and watch fireworks up there and Canyon and I went to see ours.

Not bad for our little town.
