Class of 17 Yearbook

It seems really strange, but here you don't get your yearbook until the following year. So you don't get to have anybody sign it. But you get everything up to and including prom in your yearbook.
Canyons little senior shot. He was supposed to have a quote, but we couldn't think of anything that really related to him. He wants a cheeseburger and french fries whenever he goes anywhere to eat. So that's what his quote was.
He kind of dominated a lot during cap and gown day. I was told that everybody wanted to take a picture with Canyon.
And then of course, this awesome class voted him Prom King.

C-PAP

We picked up Canyon's new C-PAP machine last week. Here he is trying it for the first time.
I have to say, it's been an ordeal getting this boy to put this mask on every night. He needs a drink, he needs to go to the bathroom, he needs to rub his face, he needs another drink, he needs to cough...
What he's been doing till now is staying awake and waiting for me to go to bed and then taking it off. So instead of sleeping right away like he used to do, even though he was not sleeping well, now he's staying up later to wait for me to go to bed to take it off. But last night, SUCCESS!! He wore it the whole night ... 9 hours! I told him we're having hamburgers for dinner!

Feeling 22

Happy Happy 22 Sahara!

After presents and coffee, we headed to her new apartment with a couple of car loads of her things, put pictures on the walls, dishes in the cabinets, and stashed a bunch of things to make way for the furniture.  Hopefully we will have furniture help soon!

Then back to the house for a nap and to get ready for dinner.

Carlee and Lisa joined us for dinner.

I made sure Roberto knew it was her birthday.
:) :)

Then we showed the apartment to the girls and headed back home for cheesecake.

Well Look Who's Making The Sammaches now!!

Yep! She's working the lunch shift a few days a week at Subway.
First day went well. Friday might be a little more crazy though.
Normally she will be working a 10 to 4 prepper and sandwich maker shift on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays.

Results

This poor kid doesn't get a break. Finally the sleep study results are in and we were told he pretty much has had the worst results they have seen. In the 6-7 hours we were there, he stopped or struggled to breathe 299 times. During REM he stopped 69 times. Sooooo, a C-pap it is. We will go for a fitting soon and a company will come to set it up and then some how or another we need to get him to agree to wear it.

Project

I saw this and loved it. I ordered the bulbs and the light string to create it myself.
Only they failed to mention that the light sockets are actually 4 feet from each other and getting this result is not really possible. So I made a make shift 'sack' to hold and hide all the extra wire. But that was not the look I wanted so a piece of pipe and twine later....
I like it. Now lets see now long these spendy bulbs actually last!

Pottery Worx

Canyon started at Pottery Worx this week. Transportation was coming to get him and bring him back at crazy times but I think we got that worked out. Unfortunately there has been little to no communication which is bordering on unexceptable. Hopefully things will get more under control next week. For instance today I had attached a note to his backpack for the woman in chage there with a few questions. He returned home with the note still attached. There is no possible way they didn't see it. I might be sending Sahara for a sit-in next week so we can get a good picture of what the day looks like for him.
He seems to like it and is happy to go each morning. That and the transportation schedule getting straightened out is about all that's going right for now.

Hip Hop's Birthday

Happy 2nd!!

The River Valley Rocks!

It's always sooo hot towards the end of summer vacation. We joined a group doing a local scavenger hunt....rock migration.
We painted our own to hide as well.
1st round.
2nd round.
We also had to use clues (or luck) to find some others have hid.
Some are really cute!
We have about 30 out there now and only a few have been found. We have found about a dozen. When we find one we post it on a Facebook page and rehide it for someone else.
