Graduation Day :)

Woooo-Hoooo!  She finally made it to graduation!!

I don't know who took this picture, but everyone had a picture like this on Facebook, and well, I kinda stole it from there.  I will gladly purchase an 8X10 if I can find out how!

After the recession, they gathered at the back of the building and tossed their hats.

Sahara and Kendall.  Both going into Psychology at Tech together this Fall.

So happy Nana and Papa decided they can make it for her BIG day :)

Even Dad came from Memphis but had to leave soon after to head back for work.

Senior Awards Day

Bright and early at 7:45 we arrived at the High School for Awards Day. 

This is Sahara's graduating class. 

She received a few awards including Honor Student and Family And Consumer Science. 

She was also one who received the Pottsville Award which was for $1000. It was a secret until it was announced. 

Oops!!  Here she is being honored for BETA. She's not in BETA. She gave this award back after the ceremony.

Family and Consumer Science All A's Award. 

Visual Arts Award from the Thea Foundation. 

Human Relations All A's Award. 

And coming next Tuesday:

Pottsville High School Student of the Month for May. 

We are so proud of her!!

Tomorrow graduation and then the next chapter in her life!!

End of year AR party

For the big AR party Canyon's school got bump n jumps. They have to read so many books and pass tests to qualify for the party. I don't know what exactly they do for Canyon and Pancho but I'm sure there are some major modifications made so that they can participate.

Looks like it's slushy time. I heard he did a lot of flirting with a girl named Whitney. Not sure if she was the girly he danced with earlier in the year. 

And a big Dr. Pepper he won at the ring toss!

Canyon's Awards Day

I didn't get to go, but since Sahara is not in school anymore, she did.

Way to go Canyon!!

He got Honor Roll and an Art Award.  The banana is a little plastic award statue for Awesome Attitude in Art.

His Art teacher loooooves him :)

And his little friend and neighbor, Pancho got Honor Roll too!!

Senior Trip

Sahara and about 45-50 of her graduating class went on a trip to Silver Dollar City in Branson instead of going to their last day of school:)

Sahara and Kendall spent most of their time together.

Then it was shopping time.

Bass Pro Shop, even though it's a smallish one, she said it was way bigger then any sports store shes been to before.

They left at 5:30 in the morning and got back at midnight.  Worn out!!  But had a great time!!

Honors Picnic

Sahara got honor roll all year and got to attend the Honor Roll Picnic. We also found out she is May's Student of the Month!!! She will be announced at the school board meeting at the end of the month and be in the newspaper :)

Finally! A game!

The first 2 games were rained out. But today was partly cloudy and windy and at least 55 so game on!!

Canyon was back catcher again for the whole game.  He really likes that.

Running to home.

Because they got a late start this year, they are playing into June.  Winter has hung on big time this year, but I hope were not in the frying sun come June.

Art Show Weekend

Both of them: Canyon on Saturday and Sahara on Sunday, had their art shows at school.

Canyon had a patch work of cars put together on black.  And a piece called Canyon's World.  He may have had others but this was all we found.  His name was accidentally left out of the program but his art teacher said she would have another made with his name in it.  When she gets that to us I will add the picture.

The next day was Sahara's show. They had to have at least 10 pieces.  She says she has a lot more but they weren't matted in time to put up.

My favorite is the sailboat and I like the turtle a lot too.

Her concentration was "water" so a lot of her pieces have to due with water or in water color or other water media.

While there, she took me to the class where she is student of the month :)

What have I gotten myself into??! 5 booklets for 5 working TVs in the house...at least 2 are rarely used for regular TV watching so they won't be difficult to fill out!!
